Still today, he is the only American citizen who is not president to be honoured, that’s why we have a holiday today. It is celebrated to honour Dr King’s life and accomplishments. Until the year 2000, not all states observed Martin Luther King’s Day. Even though his birth certificate name was Micheal King, Everyone still remembers him as the person who changed the lives of everyone.
