Don't Memorize

 

Oh yeah, true story that you don't ever hear almost every day. Prime Minister Mori was given some basic English skills conversations training before he visits Washington and meets President Barack Obama. The instructor told Prime Minister Mori when you shake hands were President Obama you should say how are you? And  Obama should say I am fine and you should say me too afterwards. We translators will do to work for you. It looks quite simple but the truth is when Mori met Obama,  he mistakenly said who are you and it’s supposed to be how are you. Baraka Obama with his sense of humour actually Just replied “ I'm Michelle's husband” and then Mr Mori said me too. The funny thing about memorizing should be a thing he Mr Mori was trying to memorize the thing but he actually didn't understand the concept to memorize. You have to understand the concept you see this nope not today I don't want even memorize the script, first of all, I took the lesson from it and made it in my own words memorizing can be a hard thing for everyone but this thing can be really funny just take this story from me and put it with you see even Mr Mori just speaks Japanese but he is learning something he learned from his mistake of saying who are you. Mr Mori if you're watching this on just don't sue me okay? Why is memorizing important but not important? If we memorize that we will only remember it for the next two days say for example there is like a big exam tomorrow then you're gonna win a thousand dollars if you get it right, okay I don't think that will happen but if when you take out your notes and study you think to yourself okay I'm gonna memorize this paragraph again I'll memorize the next four chapters. Okay memorizing wouldn't be that the next day you complete the test but memorizing won't get you anywhere. You have to understand the concept first before you memorize it. Understanding it will help you memorize it. Memorizing, can be in the same way it's actually the second step of understanding it first you'll understand the concept then you memorize the concept but while memorizing you making in your own words. See even the script that I supposed to say I don't memorize it!  I take the idea from it and put it in my own words so that's today's topic and you guys should take care of yourself and don't memorize and wash your hands and stay safe, Thank you!
